-- Protecting Cardinal 3/33 from the Threat of Line Breaks --
The benefits are immeasurable when using light lines in pressured urban streams for large char or in managed fishing areas, as it enables improved casting distance, reduced wind influence, and easier cast control.
The hybrid of bearing-equipped mechanical and friction drag systems maintains extremely smooth drag operation up to near full lock!
All-in-one design with drag grease pre-applied.
In synergy with the separately sold Cardinal line roller hyper, it improves the drag performance, which was Cardinal's weak point, thereby protecting light lines from the threat of line breaks (defence).
| Installation Method
Remove the C-ring at the end of the main shaft using a screwdriver or similar tool.
Pull out the main shaft, remove the original drag unit, and loosen the drag knob to its maximum.
Some original parts will be reused.
Although IOS drag grease is pre-applied to the drag felt, applying Dekakuma grease to the drag felt during installation will improve drag characteristics.
Return the temporarily assembled parts to the drag unit in the order shown in the diagram.
Assemble the drag unit as shown in the diagram and tighten the drag.
Reattach the C-ring at the end of the main shaft with a screwdriver, and confirm that the main shaft does not interfere when reeling.
To further stabilize and improve drag characteristics, we recommend installing the separately sold IOS line roller hyper.
