EMG stands for “EMERGENCY,” a new oil developed to address lubrication troubles in the field requiring urgent solutions.

Specifications

Type: Low-viscosity “L” & High-viscosity “H” Emergency Oil Set
Composition: Special extreme pressure additives, polyalphaolefin synthetic base oil, ester complex synthetic oil, viscoelastic additives (common for both low and high viscosity oils)
Volume: Over 5 ml
Container: PE screw cap container

Instructions for Use

- Disassemble the relevant parts (reel components) as much as possible to facilitate application.
- Apply a few drops of oil to the malfunctioning areas and let it spread while moving the parts.
- After the oil reaches the affected area, rotate or slide the parts for 10 to 15 minutes.
- If the malfunction or noise is reduced compared to before use, apply a few more drops of oil.

Recommended Applications
- Spool and handle bearings: Use EMG “L.”
- Line roller: Use EMG “L.”
- One-way bearings: Use EMG “L.”
- Main and pinion gears: Use EMG “H.”
- Worm shaft: Use EMG “H.”
- Clutches and pivots: Use EMG “L.”

Description

Metal parts rely on oil or grease lubrication to reduce friction and sliding wear. If lubrication is lost for any reason, direct metal-to-metal contact may lead to seizing or overheating issues.
Continued use in such conditions may distort the precision of the metal parts and affect surrounding components in assemblies.
Ideally, such issues should be resolved through complete disassembly, cleaning, and maintenance. However, if troubles occur in the field, performing these tasks may not be feasible, and it might be unclear how to address the issue.
EMG is designed as an emergency response specifically for metal parts, providing quick relief from seizing and overheating by utilizing two types of oil: low-viscosity oil with penetration and extreme pressure properties, and high-viscosity oil with adhesion and extreme pressure properties.
EMG creates a rapid oxidation film on the surface of metal parts, providing a cushioning effect that mitigates friction and sliding issues.
EMG uses BORED’s proprietary extreme pressure additives found in METHOD grease products, combined with ester complex synthetic oil and polyalphaolefin synthetic oil used in METHOD oil products. The formulation consists of over 70% additives.
The low and high-viscosity variants share the same composition, differing only in viscosity. Users can mix the two to customize the properties according to their needs.
Note that EMG is intended as an emergency oil and is not designed for long-term lubrication.

Important Notes

- Read the “Usage Precautions” included in the product images before use.
- EMG is sold only as a two-bottle set and not individually.
- EMG is formulated for emergency lubrication and may not provide the expected effects on degraded parts.
- It cannot compensate for fatal damage or missing parts.
- EMG is not intended for long-term lubrication; its effects are designed to last from the day of use to a few days.
- Perform disassembly and cleaning as soon as possible after using EMG and replace any defective parts during maintenance.
- Store EMG in a resealable plastic bag to prevent leakage caused by shocks or pressure.
- Recommended shelf life is approximately one year after opening, subject to environmental conditions during use and storage.
- Store EMG in low-humidity, UV-protected boxes whenever possible.
- The product contains no harmful chlorine-based or heavy metal additives and is free from solvent dilution.
- As the product uses chemically synthetic materials, it may affect rubber or plastic parts. Test compatibility beforehand.
