A Next-Generation Ester Line That Revolutionizes Ajing!
Ester line is gaining attention in fishing techniques that require extreme delicacy, such as area trout and ajing, as a line following nylon, fluorocarbon, and PE lines.
Made from single polyester fibers and not braided like PE lines, it is strong yet thin and has a specific gravity (1.35) that allows it to sink in water, making it ideal for long-distance casting of ultra-light jig head rigs to cover a wide area.
Additionally, it is less resistant to water compared to fluorocarbon and PE lines, offering extremely high sensitivity, making it perfect for light saltwater lures like ajing.
The Ajing Master Ester Red Eye features a flexibility that mitigates the line's tendency to kink and backlash, a common weakness of ester lines, and adopts a new color that shines under white light like LED lights.
This makes it a strong ally for night ajing.
Red Eye is also recommended for ajing beginners
Red Eye is supple and blends well with the reel, making it less prone to kinking, and its leader, essential for ester lines, is easy to tie.
Its knot strength reaches up to about 90%, significantly improving snag recovery rates, making it easy to target large horse mackerel in rugged areas. Furthermore, its mild texture results in fewer troubles, making it recommended for ajing beginners.
Additionally, since ester lines have less stretch, they are less able to absorb shocks during casting or hooking.
Therefore, when targeting weak-mouthed horse mackerel, it's better to set the reel drag so that the line releases slightly during hooking.
How to differentiate usage from fluorocarbon lines
Mastering the use of ultra-thin ester lines can improve catch rates.
Successfully utilizing ester lines is a key challenge in modern ajing.
Ester lines have high sensitivity next to PE lines, making it easy to detect even the slightest bites.
Their high knot strength with leaders also makes them recommended for beginners who lack confidence in tying knots.
On the other hand, fluorocarbon lines, with their high specific gravity, can sink lightweight rigs even on windy days.
They are advantageous for targeting deeper areas compared to ester lines.
By utilizing the specific gravity differences between ester and fluorocarbon lines, you can adapt to the activity range of horse mackerel, undoubtedly improving catch rates.
Therefore, ideally, have two reels or spare spools ready to switch between ester and fluorocarbon lines.
Carefully selected lineup ranging from #0.2 to 0.4
The Ajing Master Ester Red Eye is designed with added sensitivity and strength along with flexibility.
It is easy to use for both ajing beginners and advanced users.
If you are not accustomed to night ajing, it is recommended to start with #0.3 (1.75LB).
For long-distance casting or sending lightweight rigs to deeper areas, try challenging with ultra-thin lines like #0.25 (1.42LB) or #0.2 (1.15LB).
You will feel bites more clearly than ever before.
For targeting large sizes like shaku-aji or giga-aji in rocky areas, use the #0.4 (2.3LB) line.
Since ester lines have very little stretch, tying a Varivas shock leader at the end can help prevent line breaks.
The line capacity is 150m, but when winding on a shallow spool reel, you can calculate the length by handle rotation to use it as 75m.
