Tuned Blanks for Casting
The Pulchra 62B baitcasting rod, which has been popular since its release, now features the blanks of the slow jigging rod, Ita Quattro 65B, connected to its grip, creating a rod called the “Ita Pulchra.”
Originally designed for slow jigging in waters over 200m deep, these blanks are extremely sensitive.
Transcendence’s slow jigging rods also possess formidable power, necessary for reeling in large fish often encountered in mid-deep sea ranges.
The Ita Quattro has been tested to catch bluefin tuna up to 70kg.
It also needs to animate heavy jigs, requiring both sensitivity and operability.
Using these slow jigging blanks for casting revealed a completely different rod.
The Ita Pulchra proved to be top-tier in sensitivity, handling, and power for bottom fishing.
Takada continued to use the Ita Pulchra secretly for bass fishing in Lake Biwa, catching more bass with it than any other rod that year.
However, the Ita Pulchra was a derivative, almost accidental product. Recognizing its potential, it was decided to create a casting rod with these special blanks.
Using the Ita Quattro blanks as the main component, the guide setting was reviewed from scratch, incorporating the TransSystem.
It can change from a short 5.9ft length to a long 7.0ft length, creating a sharp heavy versatile bait rod with MH+ power.
Though initially aimed at being a bottom-specific rod, its wide range of applicable lures made it one of the top heavy versatile rods.
Developed and refined in real-world conditions, the Ocelate 59/70 is designed for anglers bored with ordinary multi-piece rods.
Ocellate59B|fishing style
Primarily for bass fishing, the Ocelate 59 also targets rockfish in saltwater.
Its exceptional sensitivity captures even the slightest touch from fish or bottom information, making it suitable for various sensitive fishing styles.
Tested on overseas toman and grouper, the powerful blanks are designed to handle various fish without limits.
Length Change
The Ocelate 59 can switch between 5.9ft and 7.0ft, offering two distinct fishing experiences.
The 5.9ft version excels with high-density worms.
Its 2-jerk-1-pause action has become a bass fishing staple.
Traditional rods for high-density worms are usually over 6ft long, which can cause fatigue during continuous wrist movement.
The 5.9ft short length and balanced design make the tackle feel effortless to hold.
You’ll be amazed at the comfort that prevents hand fatigue, allowing for aggressive fishing even in tight spots like man-made structures.
The 7.0ft version transforms into a heavy versatile rod.
It handles bottom worming techniques like rubber jigs and Texas rigs, supporting a range of weights from light to over an ounce.
It’s also effective with big baits, spinnerbaits, and deep cranks, covering a broad range of 7-70g.
Recommend Reel
Designed for baitcasting reels in the 150-300 size range, with the 200 size being particularly recommended.
Complementing Pulchra
The Ocelate 59 and Pulchra 62B excel in different areas, creating a comprehensive system when used together.
The Ocelate 59 excels in long casts and bottom bites, while the Pulchra 62B offers high accuracy and middle-to-surface layer bite retrieval.
Both rods have the same grip length, allowing for interchangeable use with Pulchra’s long grip option for greater versatility.
Guide Setting
Featuring titanium SiC double-foot guides, the Ocelate is designed to withstand heavy use without bending the guide foot.
The rod’s balance allows for lightweight operation without compromising strength.
It supports leaders up to 60lb.
Produced by Yusuke Takada
Few multi-piece rods specialized for bottom fishing have been released due to strength issues.
Bottom fishing rods need a tip that doesn’t bend to avoid snags, which can increase the risk of breakage.
The Ocelate overcomes these limitations with strong, lightweight blanks developed from slow jigging, ensuring durability and performance.
After three years of rigorous testing in Lake Biwa, the Ocelate has proven its resilience against rough water and countless casts, pulling out numerous big bass from cover and structure.
Tested both domestically and internationally, the Ocelate 59 stands out in casting distance, accuracy, and strength against cover, setting a new standard for multi-piece rods.
The Ocelate 59 is for anglers constantly challenging their dreams in the field.
