Reel：09 ALDEBARAN Mg7

This is drag washer made from carbon fiber, useful for finesse fishing with baitcasting reels of SHIMANO, ABU, Isuzu.
By replacing the original drag washer with CARBON CLOTH DRAG WASHER, it makes your drag system possible to give a more reliable and smoother start to let out line especially when fighting a big fish with fine line.

* Please note that the maximum resisting drag force will be lower thanthat of the genuine product.
Please use it according to the purpose such as target fish and tackle.
By replacing it with our product, the parts around the drag washer may wear faster.

The outer diameter of the main gear outside (Flat side) has been changed to 2.0 mm smaller to prevent contact with the anti-river's dog.


How to replace

Let us take "09 ALDEBARAN Mg7" as an example.


Necessary tools : wrench, cross slot screwdriver, flat-blade screw driver
* Tweezers will be useful too.


Take the handle and star drag off the reel.


Loosen these 3 screws to open the handle side plate.


Make sure not to lose those springs close to the pinion gear!


Take out the drive gear.


Then remove the original star drag washers.


In exchange for the original washers, install new carbon drag washers on. The carbon drag washers need to be greased before being installed.


After putting carbon drag washers, put all parts back one by one.


Make sure to put the parts in the right direction.


After putting all parts back, please check if the drag sytem works properly by turning the handle as you press and stop the spool spinning with your thumb with no drag tension.
