This is Line Guard Shaft for "CHRONARCH CI4+", made of duralumin by cutting.

｜Instructions

First remove handle, star drag and spool.


Take off the 4 screws arrowed to open the gear box.


Open the gear box slowly, then remove those gears.
It's better to hold the unit just like the photo shows not to fall any parts.


Should be removed like this.


Take off the E-shaped retainer that fixes Line Guard Shaft.
This E-shaped retainer is : E-1.5


Pull the Line Guard Shaft out from the other side.
After pulling it out, remove the front cover.


Remove the Level Wind Shaft.


Remove the Level Wind Cap with a slotted screwdriver.


Remove a washer and a pin in the Level Wind Cap.


Take off the E-shaped retainer that fixes Line Guard Pipe.
This E-shaped retainer is : E-2.0


Take the original Level Wind Pipe,


Replace with our custom part.


After placing the Level Wind Pipe, put the E-shaped retainer back to fix.

Put the retainer on our custom part.
This E-shaped retainer is : E-1.5


Install the Line Guard Shaft and fix it by the E-shaped retainer.



Not forget to put a pin and a washer in.


Put the cap on.


Put the front cover back.


Now, it's time to put those gears back in place.
Start with the pinion gear.


Put the stopper gear on.


Then, put the drive gear on.


Set the Roller Tube on the gear shaft, and put the ocher washer on the tube.


Place the gear box cover gently back in place, and tighten the screws to fix.


Place the drag washer, nut and spring in order as pictured above.


Install star drag and put handle on, then tighten the nut to fix it.


Finally attach the retainer to finish up.
Also you can select a color screw for the retainer.
