[BORED] METHOD / ZAYT VG7 Ultra-Low Viscosity Single-Purpose Oil

ZAYT is an ultra-low viscosity, single-purpose oil concept from the BORED METHOD DIVISION lineup.
Designed as the lowest viscosity oil in BORED's history, ZAYT achieves an ISO VG4 rating, surpassing previous ultra-low viscosity products like KRAKEN, HYDRA, and BALBOA.
By maximizing the characteristics of ester synthetic oil, ZAYT creates an ultra-thin yet durable oil film to minimize rotational resistance, targeting high-speed performance in miniature bearings with a focus on “lubrication.”

Suitable for both freshwater and saltwater applications, ZAYT provides excellent oil film strength for light loads, such as finesse rigs or light rigs in fishing.
Its ultra-low viscosity eliminates resistance, ensuring smooth high-speed rotation with minimal input. This makes it ideal for bait finesse reel spools and spinning reel line rollers.
Despite its ultra-low viscosity, ZAYT delivers a crisp and smooth feel while offering superior penetration and dispersion, quickly spreading oil throughout the bearing.
The ester synthetic oil base ensures strong chemical adhesion and oil film properties on metals. Combined with special extreme pressure additives and newly incorporated oiliness improvers, it maintains an ultra-thin yet durable oil film, providing exceptional lubrication performance.

Users can customize viscosity and characteristics by blending ZAYT with other METHOD oils.
Like all METHOD products, ZAYT uses premium 100% synthetic base oils, avoids harmful chlorine-based or heavy metal materials, and does not include solid additives like Teflon or molybdenum, adhering to the founding policy of BORED METHOD DIVISION.


Recommended Fishing Applications

- Spool bearings of baitcasting reels (size 50–100) for freshwater and saltwater use.
- Line rollers of spinning reels (size 500–2000) for freshwater and saltwater use.
- Handle knob bearings in fishing reels for freshwater and saltwater use.
- Bearings in drum reels and fly reels for freshwater use.
- Loosening seized screws and bolts.

Notes

* Read the “Usage Precautions” included in the product images before use.
* Although validated for intended applications, compatibility with materials may vary. Test on rubber or plastic components beforehand.
* Due to the water-resistant anti-rust additives, the oil may temporarily emulsify upon contact with water. This will naturally improve upon drying.
* During colder periods, the oil may appear cloudy. This does not affect performance and can be resolved by shaking or warming the bottle.
* Thoroughly degrease and clean existing oils or greases before use. Avoid mixing with products from other brands.
* When blending with other METHOD oils, warm the oils to approximately 60°C using a water bath for optimal mixing.
* Not compatible with discontinued BSLR or HYDRA oils for blending.
* Recommended shelf life is approximately one year after opening, subject to storage and usage conditions.
* The security cap detaches upon opening and is not required for subsequent use. Dispose of it after removal.

Usage Precautions

- This product is a lubricant designed exclusively for metal components.
- Keep out of reach of infants and small children.
- Do not use on humans or animals.
- If the product comes into contact with skin and causes any abnormal reactions, consult a physician immediately.
- Do not use near open flames, high temperatures, or high humidity.
- Do not leave or store near heaters, heat sources, or in direct sunlight.
- Be aware that some products may contain flammable substances or organic solvents.
- When disposing of waste, follow the disposal guidelines of your local municipality.
