[BORED] METHOD / CHIMERA VG14 Low-Viscosity Long-Life Low-Volatility Oil

CHIMERA is a low-viscosity, long-lasting, low-volatility oil concept from the BORED METHOD DIVISION lineup.
As a new viscosity offering not previously included in the product range, CHIMERA surpasses the U.S. military standard P-17 with exceptional anti-rust properties in atmospheric conditions and a low-volatility, long-lasting oil film.
Despite these enhancements, it eliminates stickiness to provide a smooth feel, emphasizing the "durability" of the oil film without compromising responsiveness in mechanisms and sliding parts.

Particularly effective in freshwater fishing reels, the oil film and viscosity balance of CHIMERA target slip prevention in one-way roller clutches, ensuring no reverse handle rotation or clutch malfunctions.
The same benefits are recognized in saltwater and brackish water environments, even for medium-sized reels.
For spool bearings and line rollers in fishing reels, CHIMERA offers a responsive reaction due to its smooth viscosity.
It is also highly effective as an assembly oil during maintenance, ensuring excellent oil film and viscosity for component assembly.
Using 100% ester synthetic oil as the base, CHIMERA provides strong chemical adhesion and oil film properties on metals, resisting oxidation and minimizing volatility.
By prioritizing durability, it offers superior lubrication that far exceeds that of mineral and synthetic oils.

CHIMERA also supports user-customized blending with other METHOD oils to create original viscosities and characteristics.
Like all METHOD products, it uses premium 100% synthetic base oils, avoids harmful chlorine-based or heavy metal materials, and contains no solid additives like Teflon or molybdenum, adhering to the founding policy of BORED METHOD DIVISION.

Notes

* Read the “Usage Precautions” included in the product images before use.
* Although validated for intended applications, compatibility with materials may vary. Test on rubber or plastic components beforehand.
* Due to the water-resistant and anti-rust additives, the oil may temporarily emulsify upon contact with water. This will naturally improve upon drying.
* Thoroughly degrease and clean existing oils or greases before use. Avoid mixing with products from other brands.
* When blending with other METHOD oils, warm the oils to approximately 60°C using a water bath for optimal mixing.
* Not compatible with discontinued BSLR or HYDRA oils for blending.
* Recommended shelf life is approximately one year after opening, subject to storage conditions and temperature variations.
* The security cap detaches upon opening and is no longer required for subsequent use. Dispose of it after removal.
