The LT TYPE-α Spool has been upgraded with the ATD TYPE-L.
Features
Equipped with the [ATD TYPE-L], which is also featured in the 22 EXIST.
While maintaining the characteristics of ATD, it further enhances the initial drag response of spinning reels, reducing stress on the fish and enabling quicker landings.
The LT5000 spool features a carbon washer ATD, focusing on high durability for the drag.
*ATD TYPE-L is installed on models from 1000SS to 4000S.
*The 5000S model is equipped with ATD.

Technology
ATD TYPE-L
A new generation drag system that responds smoothly to fish pulls and continues to function smoothly.
In small spinning and electric reels, it focuses on smooth initial operation and follow-up performance.
In larger spinning reels like the Saltiga, it is set up to suppress drag force reduction during fights.
Both are developed with the goal of allowing anglers to focus on the fight without worrying about drag settings.
CRBB
Ball bearings with greatly improved corrosion resistance thanks to a surface treatment on stainless steel BBs.
They excel in rotation performance and are highly resistant to rust, helping to maintain the reel's initial performance during saltwater use.
LC-ABS (Long Cast ABS)
While maintaining the ABS II’s design of reducing contact resistance, it achieves smoother line release by moving the contact point forward.
This forward ring position reduces the chance of line getting on the ring, resulting in approximately 5% increased casting distance and reduced trouble compared to conventional ABS II.
This is truly the next-generation ABS spool that achieves LC (=Long Cast).
Precautions
No reel models require a drag knob replacement for the installation of the LT TYPE-α Spool 3.
