Item Description

I.Works Original “Plate Wrench”

This tool is designed to easily open the engine plate of Daiwa’s robust monocoque body, which is becoming the standard, allowing for oil application to moving parts and grease application to gears.

It facilitates easy oil and grease application, helping to maintain the reel’s condition in the long term.

Specialized tool for attaching and detaching the engine plate of Daiwa reels.

As of May R6, it is compatible with all engine plates of models ranging from 1000 to 4000.

It has a laser-engraved “Open” mark indicating the opening direction.

After high-precision tip processing, skilled craftsmen carefully polish the tip and then anodize it to securely hold delicate aluminum parts.

How to Use the Plate Wrench

(Opening)

Ensure the tool fits securely into the groove and is not tilted.
Apply straight downward force and turn in the open direction.

(Closing)

1. With the tool attached to the plate, turn approximately one full rotation in the open direction to confirm the screw is engaged correctly.
2. Ensure the body and plate are parallel when starting to tighten.

*If the body and plate are not parallel, the screw is entering at an angle. Repeat steps (1) and (2) until properly aligned.

Due to the fine screw pitch, incorrect angling can damage the body and side plate.
Perform opening and closing operations carefully.

Disassembly is at your own risk. Thank you for your understanding.
